A speech and language evaluation may include any or all of the following:

• Review of the student's school record
• Review of case history
• Consultation with teachers
• Informal observation in the classroom setting
• Informal observation of the student outside of the classroom setting (e.g., the playground)
• Administration of standardized speech and language assessment instruments
• Administration of informal measures of speech and language evaluation, such as oral-motor examination, language sample analysis, review of work samples

Following the assessment, you will be asked to meet with the speech-language pathologist to review the results of the evaluation and the recommendations made based on the results of the assessment.
